VIPUN Medical receives € 500k non-dilutive funding from Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship.

VIPUN Medical is a spin-off incubation project from the KU Leuven, and has the ambition to develop and commercialize diagnostic and interventional medical devices based on an innovative and patent-protected concept of gastric motility monitoring. VIPUN Medical offers enabling physicians to make fact-based decisions which will improve outcomes for patients at risk for gastroparesis through offering accurate and continuous monitoring of stomach function.

VIPUN Medical will use the funds for investigating the clinical potential of the VIPUN Gastric Monitoring System (GMS) in critically ill patients. VLAIO grants the € 500k subsidy on condition of a concurrent capital increase for the full development and regulatory approval of the VIPUN GMS.

VIPUN Medical is currently looking for 1 or 2 more investors to complete its first investment round consortium.
